Acumen Fund (www.acumenfund.org) is a non-profit global venture fund that uses entrepreneurial approaches to solve the problems of global poverty. Investments focus on delivering affordable, critical goods and services – like health, water, housing and energy – through innovative, market-oriented approaches.
London Supports Acumen! is a volunteer-based London group of like-minded individuals who support the work of Acumen Fund and the ideas of social entrepreneurship in poverty alleviation.
On Saturday November 21, a benefit fundraiser for Acumen Fund called "Business for Tomorrow" will be held in London, UK. It is a jazz-themed soiree with all ticket proceeds going to support the work of Acumen Fund. The purpose of this event is to raise educational awareness for social enterprise and help raise patient capital. It is being hosted by London Supports Acumen.
