Hi Betsy
thanks so much for taking the time to write.
I know you're very busy!
And I know how new projects do seem to suddenly emerge at the same time :)
We look forward very much to hearing from you again, as and when time permits. Thank you so much for your appreciative comments and we certainly are very excited to see how you might be involved with WFAC!
Meanwhile, no panic at all. I don't know if I mentioned but I'm actually getting married in 4 weeks(!) and several WFAC supporters and members are flying over for the wedding - including the trustees, from the States and from Spain, and hopefully our Nigeria coordinator, as well as several supporters from the UK - and hardly any of us have ever met each other before!! Though we know each other very well indeed from skype calls and from working closely together for so long... so it's very very exciting!!!!
Then there's our honeymoon - so actually we've got quite a major focus now until well into June!! :)
So, as I say, please don't feel pressured or rushed!
As a member of The Women for a Change Community, I echo what both Jane and Eveline-Maria have said, it is a truely wonderful place to be with an amazing array of powerful women who are 100 % focused on changing the world.
I am also a Trustee of Women for a Change WFAC and would be lovely to have you be in the community. I've just joined Business Fights Poverty today and felt drawn to reach out in friends :o) Have a blessed Easter weekend! Eveline Maria
I was visiting Business Fights Poverty today and saw that Chris has been having an exchange of messages with you. I echo her invitation to you to join us in the Women for a Change community. It would be wonderful to have your energy there.
Hello Betsy,
I just wanted to let you know I've started a discussion in Business Fights Poverty here, on behalf of Women for a Change (WFAC):-
"Emily Hiatt, WFAC Advocacy Consultant, has worked in politics for several years, including the Office of Global Communications at The White House, and also U.S. Congress, CNN, and in international affairs. She currently works in healthcare policy.
Emily is a 'lobbyist by trade', and has kindly offered to help with policy analysis and advocacy in the US and the rest of the world.
She is helping to organise a Women for a Change survey to find out the main issues affecting women across the world. Do tell us what your major concern is, This is the beginning of a wider project to help create platforms for change".
You'll find the discussion if you go to my page.
There is also now a 'Women for a Change' group here on Business Fights Poverty, which you'll also find from my page - if you've time to look at either!
Hoping all is well with you - and wishing you a Happy Easter!
With warmest wishes
Chris

Well, I've now found time to look much more fully at your website - and I must say i feel very humbled by your credentials, experience and achievements!!
I'm quite sure we'll be grateful for any advice / information you care to send us.
(and, of course, we'd be honoured if you do decide you've time to open your world up further still and join our community too!)
Actually, our 'US Ambassador for Women', Alexander Saunders, lives not so far from you as she's in California too.
Thanks so much Betsy,
i've just sent you an email - hope you get it ok.
I think i got confused about where you live. With the references to Germany i thought p'raps you're in Europe but now i see from your quite incredible credentials that most of your work has been in the States - so apologies for my confusion this time of night!
Looking forward very much to hearing more, as and when...
Hello Betsy,
yes it's very strange the way the world works - and us women especially!
Actually i haven't been on this site for a while - though i love it and have met some of my best friends here! But i came on to look for some women I found before who were connected with Kiva. I couldn't find them but then your face drew me for some reason and i saw you were online and felt i had to invite your friendship!
so there we go :)
as you say, there's no knowing what'll transpire!
So, now, of course, I'd love to know more about you and your work :)
With warmest wishes
Chris
