Carlo has a background in Information Systems Engineering, having obtained a Bachelors Degree from the University of Surrey. Subsequently Carlo worked in software development with the Artificial Intelligence Group within Philips Electronics, then at Atos Origin a major Anglo Dutch Systems Integrator.
Carlo is a serial entrepreneur, already at University he had established a business (London Arena Music venue, Security and infrastructure provision) whilst studying.
In November 1992 he was co-founder of Intelligency a Pan EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) research organisation, founder of Advanced Alchemy in 1999 (the leading EMEA technology sales development organisation for the ICT sector), and remained its Chairman and CEO until 2007. Advanced Alchemy quickly became in an international Group with subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, and the UK.
During these 15 years his company provided strategic guidance on pioneering sales and marketing programs for IBM, Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Nokia, Sony and many more at National EMEA and sometimes Global level. Carlo was involved key clients to consult on the overall strategy.
In the course of time Carlo developed his social conscience, and a revolutionary concept in Social Entrepreneurship started brewing.
In 2006 Carlo founded and launched Alchemy World an indigenous NGO based in Ethiopia, registered in the UK and Italy. Alchemy World's goal is to eradicate poverty by empowering young people from extremely poor communities to create a midsize business, in order to create wealth, and employment in their communities. Alchemy World aims to graduate 10000 entrepreneurs per annum (hence 10000 new businesses per year), it is anticipated that by 2015 this rhythm will have been achieved.
Today Alchemy World has Entrepreneurship schools running in Bahar Dar, Harar-Babille, and Gondar.
Carlo is Advisor to the Amhara National Government of Ethiopia on Trade and Development.

We provide training and assistance to Entrepreneurs to start their own ventures in Plastic industry and also participate in EDP organised by Government and Non government organisations
