- TRL (the UK’s Transport Research Laboratory) is one of the largest and most comprehensive independent centres working in transport in the world. TRL's International Group undertakes research to find practical solutions to the transport problems of developing and emerging countries, particularly in the roads sector, covering the planning, design, construction and maintenance of roads and the safety, management and operation of vehicles using the road network, as well as understanding the socio-economic impact of rural transport infrastructure.
