Source of my passion about the power of business to fight poverty
I work for a company
About my work:
Large businesses have many learnings, skills and experience to offer their local communities. This can help enrich and strenghten communities and thus in turn transfer skill sets to help them fight poverty - be it monetary or social poverty.

I work for a large global corporation in the energy sector. My background is business process reengineering and change management. I am also very interested in diversity and talent management. I chair an employee network in my company - one of our top prioroties is encouraging our members to give back to the community through mentoring, coaching and sponsorship.

Hi Grace

Could your company be interested to invest in a "Social Venture Capital" company with a focus on Africa, Asia and Latin America ?

If so, please let me know!

Thank you very much and best regards,

Hi Grace

Thank you for sending me a comment.

It would be good to be better connected with you here; in order for us to be able to engage in private discussions, we can do this if we link here as friends.

Only one friend request can be sent from me to you so I can't send you another. It would be good if you could accept the previous friend request I sent you.

Alternativley you may wish to send me a friend request instead,
you can do so via the option under the image on my profile.

In terms of businesses, I run, please see www.globalents.net, the commercial venutes are 'Accord Investments', 'Adapt Services' & 'Sounds of Eden'.

Hello Grace,

Many thanks for your comments.

I organise empowerment seminars, conferences and workshops for the African and Afro Caribbeans communities in London (including other ethnic communities) - these events are mostly contracted as I also work 9 to 5 (funny - also in the energy/oil sector)

I also assist these communities to 'tap' into the opportunities being offered by the corporate organisations to support grassroot businesses/social enterprises in the society by providing them these information at these events.

I am however planning to host a summit on the 12th of September and I can send you more details if you will be able to attend/participate in a workshop? I am sure we can work together on this as I can 'sense' a similar goal sharing in what I do and what you are promoting at work.

I am so excited you connected!!! Lets talk!

Have a great weekend ahead and hope to speak with you soon.

Regards,

Timi Delete Comment
