Your start up sounds interesting. I agree that financial services can play a key role in promoting development and would be interested in hearing more about your plans.
Sadly I can't really help financially or technically, but if you'd be willing it'd be great to have a look over any business plans or outlines of various strategies that you have.
I hope in the future to be involved with innovative ways of providing financial services, so if I can learn from what you're doing that'd be great, and I'll offer any help that I can.

How's Zambia? ... It's great to hear that you are also interested in entrepreneurship development. I am sure that there must be similarities in obstacles entrepreneurs (be they youth, women ...) face in East Africa as well as your country.
At Yipe.org, our business model has a hybrid of income drivers. So we get financing from advertising and grants.
But that of course is not enough, so we leap frog on other organisations that provide internet services. In our case we do this in partnership with a local organisation called Mars Group whose focus is on governance. Yipe.org gets web-space as well as technical help.
I think for starters, it's always best to form partnerships so both organisations can grow together, whilst also keeping operational costs to a minimum. But Martin, I also believe that finances is no reason not to start a business. If there is a market and you are determined to make a difference, start small; think big, then things happen.
