I think the discussion today is focusing on issues whose solution will not be directly relevant to the fight against poverty, as if we should save or not to big corporations whose assets owned or belonged to few.
We take the power of the marketplace and apply it to triple bottom line efforts for social, community, and environmental betterment. There is money to be made by 'doing well and doing good'. The challenge in that stakeholders (ie people) who are most experienced at saving the world, do not often speak the same language or trust those who are best at selling things. There needs to be more bridge-building between populations and help identifying the common ground.
