This group has been established to have a dialog about Community Impact Accountancy (CIA) and how it should be developed and deployed to measure effectiveness in the use of socio-economic assets and the impact of resource use decisions on society.
Trying to use my education and experience in multiple disciplines to establish a system of Community Impact Accountancy that will serve society more justly and usefully than the accountancy profession of the recent (three decades) past.

Peter, saw your site. Great work. Do you know of information that isn't produced by micro-finance organizations, that audits the true effectiveness of micro-credit in developing countries? I have growing question about fundamental sustainability, the actual rate of interest, the cash value of the loans defaulted in contrast with the average loan made. Regards
I think a real priority is for some hard data that demonstrates the contribution that business makes by doing business. Your Community Impact Accountancy sounds like a very interesting approach that could shed some light on this. Also check out the discussion on measuring business impact.
