About my work:
Rita Almeida Dias is a founding member of Sustentare, Lda., a consultancy on sustainable management, where she provides technical advice on sustainability (in environmental, social and governance aspects) to its clients. In addition, she is still responsible, together with a founding member, for client management and staff coordination.

At the academic level, she has a master in corporate responsibility, accounting and social audit at the University of Barcelona. She has also a post graduation in Management at the Instituto Superior de Gestão, which she has concluded after obtaining the degree in Communication Studies, at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Throughout her teaching activity, she was responsible, in the Executive Master of Corporate Sustainability, Business and Environment, at the INDEG - Instituto para o Desenvolvimento da Gestão Empresarial, by the ISCTE, for the discipline “Stakeholders’ Dialogue”. In 2006 and 2007 she has taught “Implementation of a Sustainability Strategy”, in the Post Graduation in Sustainable Development and Management at the Universidade Católica, at Oporto. She has also taught the discipline of “Marketing for Non-Profit Organizations”, at the Instituto Superior de Serviço Social, in Lisbon.

She is an auditor for the Social Accountability 8000 International Standard (SA8000), and she has also the course on environmental certification of buildings BREEAM and LiderA. She has also the course on the AA1000 standard, certified by AccountAbility.

She has co-organized and published the book “Sustainability, Competitiveness and Social & Environmental Equity”, published by Almedina.

We have developed compact Mini machines (Plastics) affordable and convenient for the common people to start with a very small capital. The machine provides wide product range and many industry options to work with. We have been conferred by PLASTINDIA FOUNDATION with PLASTICON AWARD for the same.

We provide training and assistance to Entrepreneurs to start their own ventures in Plastic industry and also participate in EDP organised by Government and Non government organisations

Agradeço desde já o seu contacto..
A proposta desta iniciativa propõe-se interessante no entanto parece-me difícil analisar para já quanto à sua eficácia uma vez que é bastante recente e engloba um número muito diversificado de empresas e gabinetes governamentais o que torna tudo um pouco difuso... Há no entanto uma série de aspectos que me parecem claramente críticos quanto ao peso do envolvimento das multinacionais nestes contextos e no próprio modelo de desenvolvimento não só social como ambiental e energético que é muitas vezes tudo menos sustentável não obstante seja anunciado dessa forma. Já existem felizmente empresas que operam num modelo alternativo: veja-se o modelo da Ethical Trade Initiative ou da Fair Trade Foundation, por exemplo. Mas há mais projectos e áreas que também ando a pesquisar. Podemos eventualmente desenvolver o assunto e quem colaborar se estiver interessada nalgum sector ou aspecto em particular...

Olá Rita,

Infelizmente não tenho conhecimento, pois apenas despertei para esta temática há relativamente pouco tempo.
No MBA irei agora ter um projecto CSR & Corporate Governace com um prof. do CSR Europe (board) e posso questioná-lo, assim que tenha novidades entro em contacto com a Rita.
No âmbito do MBA vou fazer um business plan & develop. e gostaria que fosse ligado a esta temática, sendo que me ofereço para trabalhar gratuitamente no projecto. Caso tenha conhecimento de algum projecto ou informação sobre quem possa ter, ficaria agradecido.
