About my work:
Sara manages Aflatoun’s strategic partnerships with private and public sector partners for Child Social & Financial Education and Child Friendly Banking, where the vision is to ensure safe and friendly savings accounts or every child learning to save, budget and plan with the Aflatoun Programme. She also works to raise awareness and funds for Aflatoun and its global programmes, as well as handling various communication and public relations roles. Having worked in various international organizations and development NGOs, her interests are rooted in children’s empowerment, connecting people, and enacting change together. Sara obtained her bachelors and masters degrees in development economics from the George Washington University in Washington, DC and the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, The Netherlands.
