Well said Odjada. I am sure that Shell (and others) dont set out to create conflict in the Niger Delta - but the fact is that they have become a contributing factor. Oil has a particularly bad reputation for creating conflict - esp in Africa - and…

Thanks Stephanie - it feels like we are really engaging in something quite helpful here. There is a very similar case study from South Africa - from the early 1990. There is a great article on this at http://www.peoplebuildingpeace.org/thestories/ar

Hi Sean,
That is great. When you come over I will be glad to have coffee with you and probably introduce you to some of the initiatives I have engaged in here.
In fact in late August i.e 29th and 30th I will be away from my professional work as a Qs to attend to an Event where we will be completing some 81 houses for Internally Displaced Persons God willing. We intend to start a block press for constructing houses and some poultry & goat keeping project for the Senior Citizens.
The details of the said event are here: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=36387201398&ref=mf#/event.php?eid=120330591094
You are most welcome to Nairobi.
Best Regards

Hi Sean,
Glad to connect to you here. I would like to participate constructively on
any discussions you will be having soon and share my knowledge
and experiences from Kenya.
I run a small NGO of about 1,900 youth and would love to share and learn from
your "Strategist Perspective"
Best Regards
David
